Reasons for the failure of dust collector filter bag

1. Design
A common problem with the design of the bag filter is that the design size of the bag filter is too small to meet its intended use. If the size of the dust chamber is too small, it may cause too much air to pass through the filter. Imagine a handheld vacuum cleaner trying to remove a lot of dust. The filter in the vacuum can become clogged, causing the filter to malfunction.
When the equipment size is right, another design problem is that the volume of the sewage system is not enough to suit the application. Improper design of the blowdown system may cause air to flow back into the hopper. Air returning to the funnel will cause dust to flow back, which may cause the bag to wear.
The air inlet design is essential for evenly distributing the airflow. If the air inlet of the dust collector is poorly designed, the airflow may cause accumulation in the dust chamber area. The accumulation will add a lot of dust, making it stick to the filter bag. The accumulation of dust on the bag will cause the bag to be replaced.
2. Operation method
During the operation of the dust chamber, the operating temperature should be considered. If the temperature reaches a high enough level, the dust bag may begin to degrade due to heat.
The wrong cleaning cycle is usually caused by the error of the filter bag. Filter bags are made of fabric, just like most fabrics, the more clean, the more wear they wear.
Sometimes the accumulation formed on the filter bag is related to humidity. If oil or moisture enters the dust collection chamber, they will cause dust to accumulate on the filter. Dust generated by moisture cannot be removed from the bag, which means that the only solution is to replace the bag.
3.Maintainance
A consistent maintenance plan for your bag filter will help to extend the life of the collector and filter bag. The maintenance schedule will help avoid replacing the filter bag and other parts in the dust collector.
4. Filter bag
The three things that should be considered when choosing a filter are the heat, chemicals and moisture content in the airflow. When choosing a filter bag for a dust collector, it will be helpful to note the substances in the air that will flow through the filter.
Repeated use of a bent or broken cage on the pulse collector will create abrasion points on the filter. If the cage is broken, you are likely to see burrs. Burrs can pierce the bag and cause early mechanical failure.
5. Install
When installing the cloth bag, stepping on the bag opening may cause the cloth bag to fall off, which will cause the bag to fail when it is pulsed.
Another common installation problem occurs when the blowpipe is not aligned properly. If the pipe is turned slightly, the pulse holes will not be aligned above the filter bag. Once the pulse sequence starts, the air will strike and wear the bag at an angle.
